To me The Dark Knight is a better “film” but this is a way better Batman story. The fans will totally appreciate this one more and love that he’s a detective. The water scene gave me tears and chills – I 100% felt Batman’s realization that he needs to be hope. I kept saying to my self holy shit, he’s not vengeance, he’s hope and then the Moon with 2b nier automata shirt What’s more,I will buy this line came. Battinson is a great Batman. The only other gripes, holy long and since the movie was so damn dark in my theatre, every time the club strobes or any sort of light source came on it made me be like ah “jesus so bright”. Robert Pattinson is so handsome. His eyes were really emotional. Maybe my favorite batman film to date? I need to marinate on it a bit more, but I really enjoyed this. To start off, I thought Pattinson was a great Batman/Bruce Wayne. Each iteration of batman on film differs a little (for better or for worse), and Patterson is no exception (for the better). A very unkept, reclusive, worse for wear bruce Wayne than we’ve had in the past. With how little he bothers to maintain a fake persona, I’m surprised Riddler couldn’t figure out his identity lul. I liked other little changes, such as his much more strained relationship with Alfred (though it is shown they very much love each other). As for the batman persona, I glad they’re finally emphasizing the detective aspect of the character, which to me is his defining trait. I loved how many scenes in the move were just him doing detective work. Reeves obviously had a lot of inspirations for this, but it was clear Fincher was a main one.

I hate how many times Gotham is portared as a slightly different New York/Detroit. This was much closer to Burton’s depiction – a timeless, corrupt, decaying city of seemingly eternal night. For the Moon with 2b nier automata shirt What’s more,I will buy this rest of the movie, my remaining opinions are still mostly the same, overwhelmingly positive. The direction was great (opening shot reminded me of “Halloween” which fits in with the horror adjacent tone), the cast was amazing as well (definitely the best catwoman we’ve gotten yet, and Wright as gordon was also great in his buddy cop relationship with batman) and the score is maybe my favorite from a batman film. Really looking forward to what Reeves does in the sequel. Finally, a fucking on screen riddler that gives joker a run for his money. I loved the first half of the movie and i just loved there is a sense of spookiness as well as the remains of thriller sprinkled. I just love how the movie tackeled the killings of Riddler ….
