I’m in my 50’s and drink too much… It’s Tik Toks fault. I don’t even know if their is something wrong with my mentality but I do like Tik Tok. I appreciate this effort, truly; I don’t use FB, IG, TikTok, Twitch, etc. -AND- …..pandemic, low wages, awful economy, black men gunned down in the Monty Python Poster Shirt Apart from…,I will love this street like dogs, rights of women being rolled back to the 1930s…I wonder why there are mental health issues? Must be TikTok. Everyone should disengage from their phones and computers for a few hours every day and actually talk to people face to face. Maybe it’s just how my TikTok is set up based on what I like, but I get nothing but absurd vine-esque bullshit on mine that I really enjoy. I don’t see any of the detrimental stuff everyone talks about.

Monty Python Poster Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I could see how a teenager could be more drawn to liking content like that and their algorithm feeding them even more, which is absolutely a problem. Not being a teenager myself, I wonder if TikTok is also pushing content like that based on a user’s age combined with their algorithm which is why it’s so much more damaging for younger people. Probably on popular and not a 1/1 comparison but why was it my mom responsibility to block south park on the Monty Python Poster Shirt Apart from…,I will love this TV but modern parents can’t block TikTok on their kids phone? I don’t like the idea of changing content for everyone when the individual should just stop themselves from consuming it. I don’t have TikTok by the way just questioning the precedent. Few things make me more uncomfortable that kids and teens on tiktok and other social media/games. People REALLY need to restrict access and cultivate their kids experiences online. It’s terrible for adult brains, and really really bad for developing and easily molded child brains. Not to mention the absolutely predatory things that they may stumble on or are directly marketed to them. Depressed, anxious Hyper-consumers in the making
