I remember once – while working as a barista – having a customer who asked for a cup of expresso. I asked him if he wanted an americano or just a double. Dude said no, he wanted a cup of expresso, in a medium (12oz) cup. I told him that we could give him a cup of 8 shots or so. But, that’d be a lot of caffeine all at once, so he might feel a bit jumpy if he didn’t hydrate and spread that out. That seemed to annoy him, he said something vaguely condescending, and then “Expresso has less caffeine than coffee.” I said that’s by serving. Expresso has a high concentration, so if it’s the Mommy’s Girl I used to be her angel now she’s mine shirt in addition I really love this same volume, then the total amount of caffeine will be much higher. I was told that I didn’t know coffee, and that I should just pour the drink and stop acting as if a bartista knows anything. So, I apologized, poured 10, charged him for 12, served him his panic attack in a cup, and encouraged him to return if he felt like another cup, now that I knew his order. I usually do four shots in my vente frap. Six shots and i can feel the caffeine kicking in. A shot cup or two of expresso is jet fuel enough for me. For a six month period, I had no other option but to work out of a Starbucks. That got old fast, but I did try ordering different things over time just to see what I liked. For the normal drink selection there, nothing made me feel more jittery than just a cup of the blonde roast coffee.

That’s strange because they have good espresso in the Mommy’s Girl I used to be her angel now she’s mine shirt in addition I really love this US actually, and a lot of people who drink espresso or other drinks based on espresso, like flat white, cappuccino etc, so what is “regular” is not clear yet. By far the most popular form of coffee in the US is drip brew and that is what most Americans would consider “regular coffee”. Espresso is always considered to be similar but different than regular. to us in north america, “regular” coffee is the run of the mill coffee machine coffee which is drip… it’s in 99% of the household, is as common as a kettle in europe, and is in every corner convenience store and gas stations…. in the US most people that drink coffee have drip machines to make coffee at home. Very few have espresso machines, more probably have french presses.
