When I want to lose weight fast, I cut calories to about 1200 a day and I put my treadmill on 5% elevation and walk 4 MPH for 45 minutes a night, every night. I can drop almost 1 lb a day doing this. Eventually, I start eating more and start gaining weight slowly over the Mom Jeans Snoopy shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this next several years. I have a weight that I refuse to ever cross. When I get close to it, I’ll do my lose weight fast routine again. I see no reason to draw out losing 50 lbs over a year when I can do it in 2 months. The other day, I carried two 25 lb weights from my bench to hold down some wood while the glue dried. There were super heavy and I realized that when I weigh 50 lbs more, I’m basically carrying these two weight around with me all the time. Dude you’re making progress on your goal. Everyone is different and in different circumstances. Be proud of what you’ve accomplished, and keep up the good work.

90 pounds in 2 years is great, dude. Who cares what other people might have done. You’re 245 now, and that’s great. Any weight that you can lose and not go back to is an achievement, and it’s probably healthier to do it slow but steady. A 2 years progress means that you do have the Mom Jeans Snoopy shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this mental discipline of sticking to a healthier lifestyle and you don’t look for shortcuts. Slow and steady wins the race. My biggest issue is I lose very rapidly, averaging a 1/2 lb a day or 3.5 lbs a week. Works well, but when I get off the diet my body goes right back into fattening up for the winter mode Be proud you’ve lost 90, that’s awesome! And the fact that you’ve stuck to it for two years means you’re capable of the long game.Single parents are stigmatized. Social pressure is immense when marriage is not a success. People end up sticking together. The problem is post divorce, it’s a mess and people face the “what now?” questions, which the answer may be “may as well ride it out and be less unhappy” than dealing with the fallout. This is in a highly communal, family oriented culture like Vietnam. Yep, my mom takes the biggest role in caring for grandma but she never receives as much love as other siblings for she divorced twice. Definitely need more awareness and family therapies are much needed. Family tradition has a lot of pros, like we don’t hear much about loneliness issue, at least at the current state of affairs, being prevalent in Vietnam, partly possibly because people are always around. But family is canonically full of drama and requires people to be highly aware to stay away from the complexities when needed and remaining sane. Anyway, like all things there are pros and cons. I still think family is a good foundation for a healthy society so bullish on Vietnam Completely agree. Sticking together through the storm is great. That’s why I wish they can accept consulting. At least learn to be better for one another.
