Osteoarthritis haver – started walking a bit more than two months ago. I know that I feel better when I exercise; I sleep better and it helps the body process stress. I watch TV while using an exercise bike, so it’s not boring at all (unless I pick a bad TV show lol). There must be something out there you’ll enjoy; you just need to find the right thing

I’ve been regularly exercising for over 4 decades. It’s become so ingrained I can’t not do it. I was swimming about 3km one day and a woman asked me what I was training for. I told her it was only to avoid the US healthcare system. I have a friend who got into rock climbing to stay in shape, for example. Working out shouldn’t be a chore. It sucks. It sucks big time. Then after a long time of sucks, it’s medium sucky. Then you get used to it and kinda want it but it still sucks. And then you begrudgingly realize that it sucks but in a good way. And then you just keep doing it because it sucks in a good way. This takes YEARS. It took me at least 3 years to get to the point of it sucking in a good way and honestly it’s only because of my husband that I’m able to be consistent because without him it wouldn’t happen. He fucking loves it bless his soul. Having a partner that is going to go either way is really a cheat code.
