I’m partially convinced that the apnea was partly due to the testing. I slept horribly that night, mainly because I felt like I couldn’t breathe with the plugs in my nose. I’ve done multiple sleep studies. Don’t worry, the camera isn’t hidden. You should be able to find it fairly easily with it’s constant red light, so you can make menacing eye contact. Bonus creepy. Because the technicians are monitoring your sleep, if they interact with you during the night (typically to adjust one of the leads), they might say something like, “oh, you must have had a really intense dream a few minutes ago”……and they’re right. Not only do they watch you sleep. They watch your MIND (insofar as they can. Still super weird). And, so long as they can avoid it otherwise, they typically only wake you when you are in the shallowest stage of sleep, and it feels like the most natural, instantly wide awake experience. If only I could always wake up feeling that alert…

And yes. It is always hilarious when they say, “try to sleep like you normally would,” with 60+ things glued to my skull, face, throat, and elastic bands around your chest. I finally crashed at about 3am and they woke me up at 4:30 saying they had all the Minnesota Sport Team logo 2023 American flag shirt Additionally,I will love this information they needed to collect pretty much. My wife had a sleep study, every time she moved in her sleep they told her to resume a certain position. Which wasn’t comfortable, so she hardly slept…. I slept about an hour in total across the whole night, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Got my apnea diagnosis though, so it was worth it. I did a sleep test when I was 17 and when the nurse was talking to me (with my father in the room) after being hooked up, they pretty much said “if you jack off before you go to bed normally, jack off, this is just like a normal night” Of course having spent nearly a month in the ICU, and too many doc appointments. Try to avoid it as much as I can. (8 hours after your post)…peaceful dreams, dude. Just know that whatever happened during your sleep study was supposed to happen. The docs/medical specialists know everyone gets a case of the nerves when they do this study and know how to account for that in the results… Just did a 72 hour EEG. So many damn diodes on my head, and my skin broke out under every single one of them. It was itchy hell. Got to be at home, but staying in a single room for 3 days is hell. At least they wrapped up my wires and put my sensor in a fanny pack. It would drive me crazy if they were left out! I feel for you, sleep was hellish. I hope they find out what you’re looking for!
