Yeah there are 2 different components that people are mixing up: One is the Miguel Cotto Puerto Rican former professional boxer T-Shirt in addition I really love this curse, where you crack after being safe week after week. The other is Ru not liking theatre/BFA queens, but they can still do well competition-wise, it’s just Ru doesn’t care for them. Rosé, Ella Vaday, Jan, and Marcia (a bit of a mix of the two). Marcia never cracked tho. They were TRYING to make her a Jan but she just didn’t do it. I’ll always love Marcia for that (as well as just liking her personality and drag). She lasted to top 7, has the longest streak of Safe/High placements ever, gave one of the show’s best lip syncs before she left, and has since said she found drag race pretty easy. Iconique. Hell, Ella Vaday even broke the curse and Ru even brought up weaponizing her BAFTA or whatever it is. I’m not a theatre gay.

I honestly find their trope annoying – still love the Miguel Cotto Puerto Rican former professional boxer T-Shirt in addition I really love this queens), but Ru gave Ella 4 wins but she wasn’t born to do drag. I think Ru does have a bias against theatre queens because it seems they’re doing theatre first and drag second. I mean, Ru actually asked Ella if she started drag because she was a failed stage actor, so it pretty much applies to all franchises judged by Ru. I think there’s big difference between Broadway hopeful that didn’t make it, and someone with theater experience? (Ella, Lady) The Ru-hated stereotype is the former I mean I don’t know about other people, but Lady Camden fell into a very similar archetype as Rosé for me. She maybe had slightly more win equity in terms of possibility of being crowned. But lol.
