I don’t think the Mickey Mouse Warning I Am A Big Fan Of Disney And Proud Of It Shirt Furthermore, I will do this people complaining about this are veterans. I don’t know of one veteran that complains there’s enough days devoted to them. The younger ones I know don’t even want to take advantage of veteran discounts. I also never knew that May is some veteran’s appreciation month bullshit. I’m 100% on board though with making May a month for awareness of an underrepresented marginalized group instead of veterans. My son used to cringe when people thanked him for his service. He still doesn’t like it but he’ll do a gracious “thanks, man” when it happens. Same. I didn’t do anything heroic. It was a job, and I got (and still get) great benefits from it. I was also never deployed anywhere where I was under threat so it feels bad to be thanked when there are others who were in the shit.

Seriously of all the Mickey Mouse Warning I Am A Big Fan Of Disney And Proud Of It Shirt Furthermore, I will do this vets I know, I only know one combat veteran, and she sat out her whole tour in the Baghdad Green Zone, only had a brief glimmer of combat when the FOBbits from Prosperity had to garrison some blocks in the Red Zone during the unrest in southern Baghdad. Lol most of the military guys I know just did menial jobs on base the whole time and occasionally went off base to go bang some local hookers. I respect what some people do and what some people sacrifice with their military service. But it isn’t inherently something special that deserves a bunch of respect and admiration. Agreed. It’s a workplace like any other. Some of your peers are exemplary, and others are low quality (both in their quality/quantity of work and in their character).
