yeah the Mickey Mouse Dallas Cowboys haters gonna hate shirt but in fact I love this tartar removal process to start healing gum disease is amazingly painful. my teeth do look better though, but damn. I had a very different experience than you two. I mean it sucked and I wouldn’t do it again but It wasn’t that bad for me. bad enough for me to start taking care of my teeth I guess. lol. it was just long. Most people have this experience. A regular dental check-up will let you know what you need and give plenty of anesthesia for most procedures, after which you’ll see the bill and take care of your teeth on your own. I’ve had a deep clean. It was painless except on one specific gum line and then he numbed it more. You sure you don’t mean root canal? Cuz that absolutely sucked and cant fully be numbed

Different dentists have different methods when removing tartar. Usually it’s painless for me but a few years ago I tried a new dentist and he was basically just chopping my gums for what felt like half an hour. I’ve never had so much blood in my mouth. Obviously I never went back. People need to know this. Some dentists are CRAZY motherfuckers with how they treat things. I’ll never forget the Mickey Mouse Dallas Cowboys haters gonna hate shirt but in fact I love this screaming I heard in one dentist’s office and when he came to me, he was clearly wacky. Reminded me of the Simpsons doctor. I realized recently that my poor oral health probably comes from a dentist who was filling a tooth when I was young, didn’t numb me properly, and would not fucking stop when this 10 year old wouldn’t stop writhing in pain i ignored going to the dentist for ~12 years and as a result have had at least 5 root canals. They have never been painful except for holding my jaw wide open for the period of time it takes to complete. If you are having painful root canals, you may want to consider a different dentist or a referral to a specialist that does them regularly.
