Good question. People who can’t get credit cards or who don’t understand the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this risk (or who very heavily trust the entity they’re working with). That said debit cards do still have more protections than people realize but the time you have to recognize and dispute fraud is lower and because it’s your money it is gone immediately in the meantime which can hamper your ability to pay bills. This website asked for my cookie preferences. That took a minute to process. And said some of them failed. Then asked again with a different cookie window. Then asked me to sign up for the newsletter. Then started playing an ad with sound that I can’t mute. I am in pain I’m skeptical about the entirety of this narrative. There are significant gaps that raise doubts. As someone who manages a Subway, I know firsthand that refunding a purchase through the POS machine is straightforward. The notion that she returned to find the store mysteriously closed strains credulity. If she had returned the next day and requested the owner’s information, I’m certain they would have been eager to rectify the situation and refund her money. A Subway franchisee wouldn’t risk the negative publicity associated with such an incident. This situation appears more like an attempt to extract money rather than a genuine grievance.

Why would you just make crap up to speculate and insult the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this victim in this situation without even opening the article? She didn’t think it was odd when she swiped her card and the machine had a total of $1,021.50 on it? Or when the cashier said, “that’s gonna be one-thousand twenty-one dollars and fifty cents”? If you just blindly swipe your card and press the green button without being cognizant of what’s being charged to it, you deserve what you get. God millennials will never learn….if they only stopped doing dumb shit like this they might actually be able to afford a home….is it really worth it just for an avocado sandwich smh 141 more repliesMy friend had something similar happen to him here in the UK many moons ago. The Subway employee forgot to type a point in so instead of £3.00 he was charged £300. He didn’t notice until he got the receipt. Took him months to get the money back. The amount of Subway related presents he received from all his friends after that was hilarious.
I’ve only ever filed chargebacks through Amex, but they’ve never let me down. It’s crazy her bank won’t dispute this. In my experience when it’s clear-cut like this, the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this bank/card company will steamroll the business. Something seems off with this whole story. Why didn’t the Subway employee notice $1000+ charge. This is not a number they usually see. I’m in the subway subreddit and people post screen shots of similarly priced sandwiches in the app. Must be an entry error for that store for digital prices. She just didn’t notice and agreed to pay it. Psh I was charged 1,500 for a single sandwich once; paid with my credit card not debit, the vendor called me and refunded me instantly. I had a bill at Safeway for over 17 million dollars, but they figured it out before I tried to run my card. The cashier hit some wrong buttons while trying to ring up a clearance item. I have a photo of this too, I loved it. She’s full of crap. I had a fraud charge of 620 dollars I called BOFA fraud department and desputed the charges, got my money back and a new debit card. This is what a restuarant does when something is out but they can’t change availability on the app, only price. If I went to a restaurant (Subway or wherever) to order 3 subs and they said “That will be $1,000”, if they insisted that it was not a mistake, I wouldn’t take the subs and go elsewhere. If they didn’t say the number it would still show up on the register before I sign / punch my PIN.

Do people just not look at totals before paying? Sure I know I have enough in the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this bank to cover whatever it is I’m buying, but I’m still going to look at the total before I pay because shit like this happens. Reminds me of the time a vending machine tried to charge me $582 for a pack of M&M’s. Luckily I only had about $200, so it got declined. Another route is she can use the resources we have here at the Better Business Bureau, our dispute resolution process. Right, then they can write an angry letter, put it in a bottle and huck it in to the black sea. It has more chance to sink a russian submarine than it would to get her money back. At no point did the cashier tell her the total? She never checked? Never looked at the screen, nothing? Just swiped and said fuck it? I ordered 2 $50 gift cards for my niece and nephew for Christmas. They shipped one to the correct address and another to a rando. When I started emailing customer service, they said I had to purchase directly from them if I wanted it addressed. I had. They said nothing after that. I disputed with my bank. I got refunded the $50 but what about tax? Disputed that too and got it back. My girlfriend had kinda the same issue when she got her car service, for whatever reason she was charged twice, the bank said they couldn’t refund it until the car service had confirmed it, the car service said it was still pending and wasn’t in their system and that the bank would have to confirm it, the back and forth with no regards to how much money she was down while they were bickering about who’s fault it was Can turn that $1000 into at least a few $100,000 maIf they didn’t resolve this I’d just get a job there and charge everyone 1,000 dollars a sandwich.
This happened to a friend of mine for like $16,000 at a Waffle House. They fixed it right away though because it was obviously just a huge fuck-up by some tired waitress. How does it even happen? A missed decimal place? If it’s your bank account how do you look at the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this screen and accept a charge of 1000 plus? No way you could tap for that I had an online bill payment which was supposed to be 65.15 end up being 6515.00 because the interface for the number input was non standard and I thought I was adding a decimal but wasn’t. I just called the bank and said I fucked up. They checked and verified indeed I had in 30 seconds and cut me a cheque for the difference. I had to correct the Subway cashier once for trying to charge me a footlong price for the 6 inch sandwich I ordered.
This is why I only have $500 on the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this account that I have my debit card on. If someone tries to charge some insane amount in the hopes of me not noticing (or maybe if there’s just a weird glitch), it wouldn’t go through. At one point she goes “There is no way to reach a live person (at Subway).” Even if true, so what? Submit anyway. But a simple search does come up with a phone number too: the article mentions the BBB, which is still a valid option to try. I’ve used it for a few things and it’s generally worked well. Most major retail companies want to have a good BBB rating, so they will make a slightly greater effort to deal with a BBB complaint than they do with a customer service complaint, and it’s often the push that is needed.
I am fairly confident I would notice the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this charge amount being that high before I would press enter for my credit card details. this is why a credit union is so much better than a bank. my credit unions chargeback form is like 1 page and you submit it and the money is back in ur account pretty much within 24 hours and i have never been denied Wtf piece of shit useless article ends by saying they should use a credit card to have recourse. Like wtf duhhh. How the Fuk do they think she paid 1k for a sandwich and didn’t notice? Travellers checks and Pennie’s? Useless garbage article idiots. Of course she used a cc. She should honestly look for another bank. If a 1000 dollar charge went on your card and caused your account to go in the negative it should have been flagged. I have far from the best bank * Hells Fargo but even when my card info was stolen to purchase 600 dollars in shoes that caused my account to go negative my card was automatically locked and all my money was put on hold
If you look closely at the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this receipt, the sub total is ~1k. What’s the problem? That’s how much the sub cost, total. It’s correct Every financial advisor I have ever talked with, has told me to never use my debit card, but rather, a credit card. Never expose your own money to the world; use someone else’s. How about a boycott of subways until this is resolved? Heck, this only hurts their franchise if they incompetently overcharges you and refuses to correct it. I am so angry I am actually filling a better business complaint and an IRS complaint because they lie about taxes too. As in the 7% on the receipt doesn’t math to 7%. This is one of those things where if we did it to them it’d be “FrAuD aNd ThEfT” and immediately call the cops. But, because it’s a corporation the law will always side with and serve them first, over us. I had a coffee place do this as well, Charged me $250 bucks for a coffee. I went back when I noticed the charge the day after, and they said they only authorized it for that much and didn’t put it through, and would only put $2.50 when it did go through. Guess when it when through? A fucking week later. I raised hell with them. I raised hell with the bank. I called both every single day, asking where the fuck my money was… I went back to the bar in person on Monday and talked to the manager. No one could do a damn thing. They couldn’t undo an authorization. They can refund me money but when the authorization drops none of my money is actually gone.
I talked with my bank and they said short of fraud, there’s nothing they can do until the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this authorization drops. I was soooo mad. One time I bought my kid a goldfish at Walmart. I lived 45 min away. Didn’t notice they charged me $660 until I got home. Next day I had to take off work and drive hour and a half round-trip to get a refund. Customer service tried to argue with me and demand that I returned the fish if I wanted my money back. Finally got them to get a manager to come. They said obviously they’ve never sold a fish that expensive and didn’t know why the barcode was even in the system. They refunded my money. And the manager thought the customer service lady was brain damaged. 32 more repliesBought a new phone from Rogers and the guy looked at me with a white face after my purchase. He charged me 9000 instead of 900 and I was gobsmacked. Took 20 mins to fix and he felt so bad. Always check your receipts!!! It is incredible to me, the amount of people in here, and obviously her, who don’t look at the total before they commit to payment. It’s your one responsibility when buying something!
Be an adult and look out for yourself because absolutely no one else in this world is going to do that for you. My mom accidentally paid $66,000 for a $660 JC Penny credit card bill. The customer service people that she called for months afterwards were…shocked, to say the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this least. These mega corporations have such ass customer service and it’s inexcusable how hard it is to get something so simple corrected. I’m not even talking about Comcast or the other internet/utility providers but fast food customer service needs to be better than this. I had an experience with Taco Bell not too long ago where I ordered food off their app, went to the store and they were closed. I reached out through the app to get it corrected — crickets. Reached out again — crickets. DM’ed their Twitter — nothing. DM’ed their customer service account and FINALLY after 3 weeks or so they fixed my issue and issued a refund. Like wtf is it really that hard for you to figure out how to deal with customer issues especially when it’s your mistake? You’re a fucking customer service oriented business wake up.
Ooo this happened just last week. I hope this goes viral and causes a huge stink. I’ve worked in the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this food industry for nearly 20 years, and this is 100% a huge no-no. I’d be calling lawyers immediately. The sad part is the article says there was they tried call, but no human would answer. If there was one employee on the phone, it would have been resolved sooner. Happened to me with TD Bank. Deli charged me $750 for a sandwich instead of 7.50. they refused the chargeback. Had to go shake down the owner after a few weeks and have him pay me on the spot. Sorry, but your account is too new to post. Your account needs to be either 2 weeks old or have at least 250 combined link and comment karma. Please contact the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns. For anyone shopping, the best protection is to use a credit card when at the counter. Credit card companies offer better protection on your purchases. I think a lot of people don’t understand the differences in consumer protection between using a credit card vs a debit card. I once tried to buy a cashiers check at the post office for rent 1k..they said it didn’t go through, swipe again. Ok, nope still failed, so I left, took out cash and gave it to landlord. Well, 2 grand was taken out by the USPS, I noticed when I starting bouncing charges all over the place. It took months to resolve, I incurred 650 dollars of bounce fees during that time, (the bank kept crediting then debiting the charge during investigation) I had to somehow prove I never got the money orders, eventually it flipped and they had to prove they never issued them. I was never made fully whole on that situation.
I wanted to watch but what sandwich did she get. Also, the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this BBB? That”s like an HOA telling you that you’re part of them and they’re super serial after you built a house 20 yrs ago
Older seasons definitely have a charm that’s kind of missing, nowadays. Drag Race looked more attainable, I guess? Nowadays it feels like the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this queens either have to spend several thousand dollars on a custom wardrobe, or they need to have an insane amount of sewing experience in order to really shine. I love fashion so it’s great to see queens bring such elevated drag to the show, but I also kind of miss when a queen could show up looking like Jinkx on S5 and still win purely because of how talented they were. It’s a shame that it excludes or at least heavily disadvantages queens who don’t have the money or connections to compile an amazing wardrobe. Back in the day, at lot of Ru Girls seemed to come from working class backgrounds, whereas now we get more privileged kids with theatre degrees. And the show’s less interesting as a result. Normally the more they spend on outfits, the least they care about building an actual interesting and unique personality for the show. Sometimes there is a balance between the two though. That’s an issue with modern drag race
Yea I’m fucking terrified if I ever get cast. I sew, I make a good amount of my own costumes, but I don’t have much money to buy runways like these girls and seeing queens get torn apart for outfits not being couture quality has me anxious as fuck Shea spent $600 on her season. And she was basically gonna win if it weren’t for that last lip synch. Even so she made it to the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this top 2 I wouldn’t put Willow’s style anywhere near S5 Jinx! Willow was really polished in what she delivered on each runway. I think its a lot of things. Reality tv has changed drastically, social media, the culture, and then obviously Drag Race getting bigger and bigger. I feel you since I’m an oldie who’s been watching since season 1. I do miss the crunchiness and ‘mall drag’ aesthetic, but I think it’s valid that the industry has changed. Even tho it’s harder to get booked, it’s easier for people to enter drag when you can quickly look at makeup tutorials on YouTube, set up an IG, etc. I think now that Ru knows she has the budget and audience, she wants it to feel like a high-production ‘pageant-esque show. I was catching up on this past season of Unhhh and they mentioned how Ru is very selective when she turns her head on the judging panel, especially compared to a guest judge. There’s just so much more poise in the show these days. Honestly I think the biggest reason Drag Race itself changed was because of queens like Miss Fame and Violet. Ru, Michelle, and Co. have always had this attitude about how a season’s girls need to bring it harder than the previous season. So when you go from 6 seasons of looks that get progressively better, but even by S6 even the best looks are a little crafty, and then in S7 girls are delivering runway level fashion… it’s gonna skew towards expensive. The queens need to keep up/ahead of trends, and keep upping the gamut to keep the audience expectations raised.
The audiences expectations keep getting raised with each season, so the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this queens have to keep upping their looks and stay ahead of trends. if the girls were to come in in cocktail dresses and flat wigs now we’d quote Gia “Is there no budget this season?” and chicken eat the egg. I think Season 3 was where it really turned that corner. Raja, Yara, Manila, and co really turned it out that season. and I think Fashion Photo Ruview was what changed it. or was at least what gave it the final push over the ledge. I agree with that, but from an audience perspective, the season 3 queens were the ones who really started showing us as a collective that drag fashion was also a thing. Prior to that we only really had Nina and maybe Tyra/Raven as reference points. After that, our expectations also started to rise. My favorite drag race was seasons 3 – 6. It was more elevated and creative than your local drag but queens still mostly made their own stuff. They were still messy enough to make the show exciting and catty and social media didn’t shape the show, the queens didn’t produce themselves so it felt more authentic. These days I struggle to remember the contestants’ names and they all look and sound alike. Season 16 was the first season in years where 2 queens stand out for me.
I don’t think the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this show ruined drag, however. I think it made a certain kind of drag popular. Somewhat sterile, only barely subversive, essentially pretty: drag race is to drag what str8 acting men were to the gays 30 years ago. The really good, edgy stuff will still be there where drag was before the show: on the margins, breaking new ground. I’m glad they still cast many queens on talent/personality alone but it’s not fair that they criticize them for not being able to afford what the other queens can. They keep rewarding expensive drag and mediocre lip syncs and now we’re here. Sharon wore the same dress in two runways because she didn’t have enough clothes. I couldn’t imagine a queen doing that today without majorly changing said dress. in retrospect it also just.. sucked? the idea of drag race critiques is they’re supposed to help you grow as an artist and find your niche. so on her original season, adore tried corseting! and she decided she didn’t like it enough to keep doing it – nevermind that her focus on music just doesn’t vibe with corsets.
like what if derrick berry tried drawing her eyebrows and they just never got any better than her first attempt? don’t force people to do things that are bad for THEIR drag because it doesn’t fit into a checkbox. I have a lot of classical voice training and did paid church jobs here and there for a few years when I needed to hustle. Corseting is actually good for singers for the Michigan State Spartans Baller Bounce Shirt Furthermore, I will do this same reason that competitive powerlifters wear a belt to deadlift. It gives your core muscles something to push against so you can maintain a controlled release of air through your vocal cords and a stronger sound. You shouldn’t cinch like Violet does if you’re going to sing, and it’s better not to do it all the time while practicing and training, but a little waist compression doesn’t hurt anything in performance. Adore’s decision not to cinch has more to do with the look she’s after and personal preference.
