Here people speak launguage called bambaiya which is mix of Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Konkani, Parsi and some other dialects. If you tell anyone one from here that calling South Indian people Madrasi is derogatory, he will say ‘dimag satak gaya hai kya? Chavi jaise nakhra mat kar. Alibaug se aaya hai kya?’ Or something like ‘tadi mar ke aaya hai kya?’.

On other hand, open any sub on reddit and you will see casteist slurs openly used like ‘chapri’ is so common but no one down votes that?
