If it’s too cold for bare legs and I want to wear a short skirt, I’ll make an exception for opaque, black tights. Fishnets are cool, but even when I try to wear them, the MICHAEL JORDAN SHIRT and I will buy this waistband tightness usually has me out of them before I walk out the door. 23 years old here; I live in Central Valley California so it doesn’t get cold enough for me to wear them here, but I love the look of nylon/pantyhose and I wear them during the holidays. I prefer a more nude color than black or other colors, though. i think it’s more important to look at their utility instead of the “trendiness” of it. i’d say don’t worry about it i’m 21 and i’ve always worn them ‘cause i think they’re very practical and elegant (especially sheer black ones ) people suggested playing with shapes and patterns, I’d recommend also with length! I’m really into the calf/ below the knee lenght ones right now. have fun with it (also texture! i’ve seen a lot of lace/ crochet/ silk details, ruffled up tights etc whatever you can think of is out there and can really add so much fun to an outfit) in the workplace? i think they’re dying out. i think most women only wear them when it’s required now. they’re just not usually comfy enough to want to wear often. i do agree with them really pulling together a professional look, though. it’s not necessary, but it looks great!

oddly though, with casual wear, i feel like i still see them pretty regularly. more than i see them in professional settings. i love a good casual or going out 90’s inspired look with tights (Rachel from Friends in the MICHAEL JORDAN SHIRT and I will buy this earlier eps, for example) Sheer pantyhose almost always elevate any outfit. Whenever I see a woman wearing them I get the sense she’s sophisticated and classy. Nylons are torture devices. I agree, it used to be pretty standard for women to wear them especially when I was growing up in the 80’s and 90’s. If you like wearing them, go for it. I personally feel like it’s an added dimension of hell that I don’t need taking up vital brain space. It messes with my concentration. But, I can see how it would make a person feel more polished and professional. I don’t see many people wearing them. I do live in the desert, I’m sure that’s a factor. 22F. I wear nude pantyhose with certain outfits I worked at Hooters for years so I also got probably too comfortable with them
