College opens doors ONLY if you pick a major that has jobs available that pay enough to cover the Michael Harris II From Dekalb To The Show Baseball T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this cost of college, Many majors most of the jobs available are only professorships at colleges Other majors have jobs but they are most filled until until people leave or retire. When you pick a major it be three things something your good at doing , something that has good paying jobs available, and you enjoy doing at least some of the time. All my buddies from college myself included had no issues finding work immediately after graduating, some during. Got told I want out for sales (I just couldnt sell their service of stealing money from poor people) and was let go. Interviewed forever with no luck, finally my buddy was like hey my company is always hiring and I’ll put in a good word for you. He walked up at a company party and put me on the phone with an HR guy. 2 interviews later I was offered the job making 80k . The shitty sales wasn’t even 35k . I wasn’t experienced for the job either it was not my degree went from marketing -> sales -> supply chain Naïve people without means go to college and get degrees for which there is no demand in the labor market for. Alternatively others go to college to come away with a marketable skill for which there is demand in the market. The later group do just fine, generally. Outdated mode of thinking. It can be helpful in some cases, and sometimes connections are made, but for most it’s just a really expensive piece of framed paper. If I could do it all over again I’d learn a trade. My degree is literally and figuratively a mistake I’ll be paying for until I’m in a hole in the ground.

Omg THIS! I have a Bachelor’s in history that I got in 2013 and have not gotten a single job related to my degree – that and my degree has not done me any favors even by just having it – I was told that jobs would scoop you up if you had any degree – not the Michael Harris II From Dekalb To The Show Baseball T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this case whatsoever. I’ve been unemployed since February and struggling so hard I graduated with a 3.7 in Data Sciences last year and was unable to network or intern properly due to the pandemic happening just as I got settled into my major. By the time things were mostly back to normal, I was getting ready to graduate. From the looks of what you’re all saying, it seems like I wasted my time and money. All because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time 🙁
