Usually it’s at every hour, and in my office we handle 3 shifts – but I have seen cases where someone’s been told consecutively by 5 agents that their shift is ending. Whenever this happens and if the Michael Bolton An American Singer And Songwriter 90s Style Fan T-Shirt and I love this case is urgent, we have to do a handoff. Thing is that some cases just can’t be solved in the last 2 hours of my shift after my supervisor just casually decided to assign your case to me. I had to demand 10 times to speak to a supervisor before I got one last time I needed to escalate. It took like a week too. Whats the magic phrase now? “We need to escalate this to management for resolution.” Doesnt seem to work for people that dont have english as a first language as much “You know what, I don’t have a busy day, I’m just going to clear my schedule and wait on the phone with you until your supervisor is free. I don’t mind.” My favorite strategy is, “you probably don’t get paid enough to listen to me bitch, holler and complain. I’m harnessing my inner karen right now and I’d like to be forwarded to your most dispised supervisor. ” works like a charm! Dod that work for you? The CSR I had INSISTED that she couldn’t transfer me while I was on call with her, said I HAD to put the phone down for her to connect me to the supervisor. It’s true, we can’t transfer you to our supervisors directly. All we can do is transfer your call to a different department which wouldn’t make any sense in most cases and apply a command to formally request a supervisor call.

The way it works in my call center is that supervisor call requests are created and they reach out to you directly within 72 hours. I’ve never had to do it with AirB&B but I used to have to make these types of calls for my job quite frequently and it worked every time. Granted, I only did it a few times when I was told multiple times that I was going to be called back by a supervisor and never was. When I did say I’d clear my schedule and wait, the Michael Bolton An American Singer And Songwriter 90s Style Fan T-Shirt and I love this supervisor would magically all of the sudden be free to talk and the problem would be resolved. (I also do have the luxury of making my own schedule so I was actually able to hold to what I said if my bluff was called.) Same. I said asked if she would simply hang up on me and she replied that she would not. I then said that I would just sit there on the line with her until her supervisor was available and she said that was against procedures and we would be “disconnected.” Took three days for the “supervisor” to reply. I don’t understand why some people don’t just straight up create the sup call requests on strike three of offering possible alternatives which the user refuses. I’d be more than happy to get you out of my hair for a while and to continue assisting you once you’ve finished discussing the situation with my supervisor. That is something only customer support agents can do – we have a set of commands that we can use on a ticket, and one of them is to create a sup call request linked to each individual partner call centre.
