First thing first I’d like to say WOW my phone did me dirty and posted a comment on my behalf in my pocket. It only said “I see” so I apologize greatly for leaving what must have sounded like some cryptic crazy comment. Secondly, I don’t have any useful advice but I’m sorry you’re going through this. 13 years is a very long time, but that comment about having to kill you if you got one is a major red flag to me and is very scary. I wouldn’t be taking it as lightly as you appear to be, but I also don’t personally know him. Any straight guy who is against abortion no longer has a right to sex unless it’s for the Metallica Buffalo Bills shirt besides I will buy this purpose of procreation. Ayyyyy this is so painful. 🙁 I’m sorry. I find myself agreeing that this guy is not worthy of you and a strong independent amazing woman. I am afraid to say that I don’t think you are alone in this dilemma but it definitely sheds light on who is really is/his beliefs. What if you were to get pregnant and kept the child and it was a girl. What if she started having sex without telling you and she got pregnant at 11 or 12??? What if it was by a 17 year old guy? Also this argument that all these idiotic men keep saying in response to a woman getting pregnant and the guy leaving… “you shouldn’t have slept w a shitty man” etc etc… a guy who knocks up a girl and ghosts her and never knows she is pregnant is living in blissful ignorance. The guy that knows and leaves is a total asshole. My blood boils though when I read comments like that… as if it’s our fault that we chose a shitty guy so we must suffer the consequences? Majority of guys saying these comments are the shitty guys. Honestly you deserve better. We all do.

You should probably listen to what he’s saying here. I understand he didn’t mean it as an overt in-the-moment threat, but please take him seriously and consider if you want to continue to date someone who mentions killing you as a punishment for anything, including abortion. The fact that he said that it’s no longer your body when you get pregnant is incredibly concerning… He is changing the Metallica Buffalo Bills shirt besides I will buy this narrative depending on case-by-case scenario to fit his own views, which is incredibly toxic. It’s one or the other, bud. I’d dump his ass. He cant be that good of a guy if he has no comprehension as to why the things he is saying is incredibly problematic. I’d be looking for a new place to live and packing my bags. Like I don’t care how long it’s been, that is a really intensely terrifying thing to say.
