Say you won’t even start without signing a new employment contract securing the Metallic America Shirt it is in the first place but position and that defines compensation and responsibilities, even if those responsibilities don’t start immediately. Make sure it’s explicit about when the on-boarding ends and the new title with explicit responsibilities and pay begins on X date. An increase in job responsibility should unilaterally give you a pay increase. Just ask the theoretical question to the COO, if you had to take on more job responsibility would it be fair for you not be paid more? Idk I mean I think it depends if you trust them and whether you see yourself with the company long term. Sounds to me like you could spoil a good opportunity to move way up in this company by coming off as ‘entitled’ and/or ‘difficult to work with’ by making demands and not going with the flow of what they are saying. It’s a tough choice and there’s not an obvious right answer in my opinion. Don’t want to be taken advantage of, of course, but by playing along you just might be able to find yourself in a cushy position that pays more for less work. Just my thoughts.

Metallic America Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Dude take the Metallic America Shirt it is in the first place but the leap. What’s the worst that can happen? They don’t give you the raise? Leave then. What’s the best that can happen? You got a promotion and a pay raise. Take the leap and have a little faith. Don’t do it. You’ll have to beg for the raise and it’s not assured. Tell them you expect the salary that goes with the new role. They’re taking advantage of you. Don’t fall for it. Ask what the impressions are of the department. Where does it fall short. They fired your boss for a reason and they didn’t have a manager for longer than that… Ask what they expect from you in 30 & 90 days, 9 months and a year. Share some of your thoughts on department improvement opportunities. Ask upfront for frequent touch point meetings and always bring that milestone chart with you, with updated initiatives and status. I’d almost guarantee that they are actively looking for a leader and are keeping their options open. I would explain that you are interested in the position, but they need to respect the work and effort you will contribute.
