Yes. They’ve already shown they have a proclivity toward violence. So yes. We should fear the Merry Winter Solstice My Favorite Pagan Holiday Co-opted Christmas shirt moreover I love this fascists but also treat them as the fascists they are. This is my concern. The walls will start closing in, in ways his base currently can’t even fathom. It’ll eventually become silently indefensible even to the most foolish of fools He’s trained them to feel victimized and cornered in such cases. My concern is they’ll behave as animals do when they feel cornered and threatened You shouldn’t be concerned. They had months to plan the January 6th Insurrection with lots of money and other kinds of help. Yet they still failed. In my opinion as a trans person with Trump-cult parents (no contact) ….. Um yes. My parents knew of Jan 6th two weeks before it happened. Fucking awful. 450 more repliesI guess, but I think a lot of what drove Jan 6 was the complete belief of entitlement. They seemed to believe that they could break the laws without consequences because they were the good guys. All the jail time being handed out is a bit of a wake-up call, because when those folks got in front of a judge they sure lost all their convictions. Counterpoint, a lot of MAGAs don’t really keep up on actual current events and may have no idea that prison sentences were being handed out. The weaponization of intelligence agencies, finance and big tech that followed Jan. 6th is a lot more horrifying than a bunch of fat boomers taking selfies in the capitol.

So you don’t see the Merry Winter Solstice My Favorite Pagan Holiday Co-opted Christmas shirt moreover I love this problems with the state and private sectors consolidating their power to create what are effectively monopolies on communication and finance platforms? I also have to ask, what was really lost or gained by Jan. 6th happening? I’m no fan on Blumf and think the rioters did what they did for incredibly stupid reasons, but where’s the existential threat in any of it? I live in southern Maine (Biddeford) and have been sporting obnoxiously anti-Chump tee shirts, e.g. ‘Anti Trump AF’, since he was elected, and have gotten quite a few enthusiastic compliments and only two mildly negative remarks. So no, I’m not scared here. Honestly, you really shouldn’t be. Jan 6th has been hyped up a lot, but to quote one reputable news source; the protest was mostly peaceful.
