Don’t need that kind of insecurity in my life. Close friends are among the most precious things in the world, regardless of gender, age or colour. Appreciate them, be there for them and with a bit of effort, they can last a lifetime. There are people who are not secure enough in themselves nor their relationship to accept that people can be friends with someone from a gender that they are sexually and romantically attracted to. As a straight dude, people think that we only have sex on our minds (not true, it’s only about 90% of the time /s) and are thus incapable of any extended interaction and connection with a woman without wanting to bang them or secretly be in a relationship with them.
