You do know that if you are a janitor in America or in any other country you would still learn different wages? We do not have universal world wages for any job… So ask yourself why you think that. You think? It feels impossibly hard to get that money while you’re here. That’s maybe my own fault for not being an engineer, lawyer, or doctor. Probably because everything is so expensive there, at least that’s how it seems from an outside perspective. College/university fees are crippling, medical bills are insane, vehicle repairs too, any sort of hired labor is also really expensive which I suspect is why americans seem to do a lot of things themselves like fixing broken stuff around the Merry christmas snoopy and woodstock snows shirt Furthermore, I will do this house (I’ve only seen this in movies i don’t know what I’m talking about), which seems like a nice side effect of expensive labor I’d say. You’ll need to factor in the cost of living before comparing the average earnings there compared to other countries.

It definitely depends. A lot of essential workers (and workers in general) are paid shit versus cost of living. What seems like “a lot” for some countries doesn’t even cover the Merry christmas snoopy and woodstock snows shirt Furthermore, I will do this rent plus health insurance. Higher cost of living. Where I live, a $2,000/ month one bedroom apartment is considered extremely cheap. Average rent is like $3,000 I think In my experience the actual cost of living in the states is rarely actually what you can find online and is much, much higher than that. debt is very common as is carrying vast sums of debt- including ridiculous amounts of student loans. For example my husband- when running a very successful business in the states- was making about 4x what we make living in Asia. We were in the red every single month despite doing things like having a roommate and living in a horrible part of town, only shopping at walmart etc. Since throwing in the towel and moving back (to a very expensive city at that ) our cost of living is about 1/8th what it was. We are never in the red, and we are actually saving money. We can go on vacation, we can comfortably own pets, our debt isn’t piling, and we have no need for a car because the public transport is affordable, reliable, safe and clean. Food is nutritious and affordable and eating out isn’t going to break the bank. We can access a doctor whenever we need and if we need to be hospitalized for any reason it’s like, 13usd a day.
