The most heartwarming part of this to me is the genuinely exasperated/mildly displeased look he shoots the parents, like being able to communicate and know what the kid wants for Christmas mattered greatly to him. That’s Santa, to the core. It does matter greatly to him. Real Santas take that seriously, I had a coworker who did Merry Christmas Gift Snow Santa Claus Paws shirt and he was a whole different person once the suit came out. We worked at a Walmart and Coke sent out a fake Santa at Christmas time, while my coworker was in his suit. He had to go hide so kids wouldn’t see two Santas and change clothes until fake Santa left. It’s a real-life thing for them.

I’d say that’s a teachable moment about the miracle of bilocation. Santa would be more like if you shoved Santa in a soundproof bomb shelter, pulled the pin on an unreliable grenade, chucked Merry Christmas Gift Snow Santa Claus Paws shirt in after him, and sealed the hatch. Santa’s either mildly irritated or is now a paste of blood and guts splattered on the bulkhead. Until we observe the contents of the vault, he is both. Thankfully Santa shaved his beard for when we came over for Christmas so my daughter would recognize that Santa is family. Thankfully she didn’t put 2 and 2 together about the accent.

Real Santa’s that care are awesome! Last year I was dating a guy who’s grandfather was a mall Santa for years. He had the long white beard, and coincidentally he was British so the accent really sealed the deal. After deciding to not wait for 3 hours so my daughter could see mall Santa, my boyfriend called his grandad and set up for Merry Christmas Gift Snow Santa Claus Paws shirt to go to a relative’s house for my 8-year-old to meet Santa. He brought Rudolph’s bells and everything and my daughter was beyond excited.
