I’m not doing great. In my main social group, everyone except me is in a serious relationship. Married with children, planning their wedding, buying a house together etc etc. The talk in the Merry Christmarx Karl Marx Merry Christmarx Communist C shirt and I will buy this group is more and more about a world I’m excluded from, and of course, I can’t talk about how it hurts me to be reminded of what I’m missing out on. Late 20’s – struggled to start with but then I started filling my life with things I enjoy. I spend a lot of time with friends, have a fair few hobbies but have also learnt how to spend time alone doing naff all. Plodding on. I’m 33F and have been single for over a decade now bar the odd 3 month fling. I really REALLY want to meet someone and experience what it’s like to be in a happy relationship but I gotta deal with the shit sandwich I’ve been given. Life is boring and expensive but it’s been worse in the past. I’m not depressed anymore, have a good education and a decent job so there’s that. Same boat as you 36m never been in a serious relationship. It hasn’t really stopped my doing things by myself I have travel the world solo I’m to Spain on Tuesday. I like the fact I can just say fuck it I’m off. I’m not bothered to much by being single but would love to find someone at the same time it’s hard to explain the feeling.

I’ve been single for 11 yrs and I find that the Merry Christmarx Karl Marx Merry Christmarx Communist C shirt and I will buy this guys arent very sympathetic to my family situation, I miss lots about having a significant other but marriage sucked, so not been happy in many many years This resonates very much with me. Basically single all my life and I’m 32. Never had a girlfriend (or boyfriend) apart from some boyhood shenanigans. I’ve got a good job, decently sociable and am otherwise “normal” in other areas of life. I’m generally OK alone also but there are times when the loneliness is pretty crushing. I’ve thought I need therapy, or perhaps I am just who I am, I don’t know. But it does make me feel dysfunctional. Why do I not desire intimacy and romantic connection like everyone else does? It’s probably multifaceted as I’ve got other issues with mental health too so perhaps reading too much into it.
