Patriotism. My fellow Americans treat the Mens Men’s Mental Health Awareness- End The Stigma Premium T-Shirt it is in the first place but flag, the national anthem, and the pledge of allegiance like they are the Eucharist, I swear. I’ve never understood it. As someone who is in recovery and uses aa to great benefit, you’re right. Some, not all, members treat it like a religion. Some borderline worship Bill W and the big book like he was a prophet writing a scripture. You could talk about gerrymandering or the two-party system but I firmly believe privatized mass media is the number one threat to democracy in America. I had a friend that had joined a local moms group just before she had her first. Once the baby was born she wasn’t able to latch on so she was forced to formula feed (she did the lactation consultants etc). She was terribly bullied by the other moms and kicked out of the group. Those people are insane.

Atheism when sometimes they have conventions. I don’t go to a club for people that don’t collect stamps, I just don’t do it. Never understood the Mens Men’s Mental Health Awareness- End The Stigma Premium T-Shirt it is in the first place but conventions. Any fanbase of a Power 5 school in college football has its share of worship. Big shoutouts to Texas A&M and Penn State in this case. I don’t see an issue with this. If we’re both fucked up, we should both be getting help. I want to be with someone who wants to get better, not someone who wants to continue on a bad path. That’s absurd. It’s good if you need it but if you dont then you are just wasting everyones time and your own money. Kind of like any other pursuit of wellness, I tend to think everyone would glean something meaningful from the experience, even if they’re not dealing with a particular “problem”. That said, there’s 8 billion of us and there’s a chance more significant than zero that some people simple are living their ideal and joyful lives without any sort of therapeutic options. The older I get and more people I get to know, the more I am certain that absolutely everyone has got some kind of unresolved issues that could use therapy. Honestly that’s not a bad philosophy. Now obviously everyone doesn’t have the same access to it due to time, money, etc and shouldn’t be ruled out simply because they don’t participate, but if I were given the option of dating two equally comparable guys with the exception of 1 in therapy and 1 not, you bet your ass I’m choosing therapy guy simply because more often than not, people will face shit in their lives and if they already have a safe and constructive place to deal with it, they’re far ahead of the game.
