His Evil Genius podcast shows how infuriatingly naturally funny he is, given it’s unscripted and interacting with 3 other comedians. He’s definitely a genius. James Acaster, don’t get it. Reminds me of the Melanin Retro Pretty Brown Skin T-Shirt and I will buy this comedians I admired growing up for their opinions more than their comedy. Then I grew up and realised that comedians live in a microcosm where normal experience can’t inform there opinions and once I had that realisation I noticed that I was historically more nodding in agreement than laughing! That bloody interchangeable pair of twats josh widdicombe and james acaster. Cannot go them at all. Rosie Jones and Jo Brand are irritating and anyone (except Sean Bean) in dictionary corner I find Simon Pegg doing… whatever it is Simon Pegg does incredibly dull and annoying (I can’t watch the zombie movie), very symptomatic of the late 90s standup where they seemed embarrassed about a punchline.

However if you can find the Melanin Retro Pretty Brown Skin T-Shirt and I will buy this old radio show ‘The 99p Challenge’ (think its on archive.org) He’s really good in there. Its a great show. Standup wise, the funniest person I’ve ever seen live is Brian Gittins. I was in pain laughing continuously both times. That’s totally valid. I’m the opposite. I rarely find men funny, even on panel shows where you get a mix of people. I remember loving QI growing up but got annoyed with all-male panels because they’d try to outwit each other and the quality of the joke would suddenly just collapse into immaturity or the punchline would drag on forever. A huge generalization, but female comedians get me laughing because they tend to be much more witty and have better timing, especially when they’re performing alongside men.
