My mom got an abortion pre roe vs Wade. She flew to the Max’s favourite song – Running up that hill – Kate bush Classic T-Shirt Also,I will get this UK solely to do that. Her parents paid for it, and made an excellent cover story up. Canada has extremists currently running for conservative federal leadership in two parties, where they want to limit women’s rights. And they are increasing in popularity. Canada cannot be depended on as a safe haven even for those who can afford it. Note, you’ll need a passport (preferably with at least six months remaining validity) to enter Canada, and US passport applications take ages these days (8–11 weeks routine, 5–7 weeks expedited), so get that sorted out before 2025. Even after the Supreme Court overturns Roe v Wade and abortion becomes illegal in 21ish states, you can still get abortions in the other states. But if the Republicans win in 2024, first thing they can do in 2025 is make abortion illegal federally. This is kind of silly. If Roe is overturned, blue states will still have abortion rights, but that’s not the point. How are anyone but the rich going to afford a ticket to Canada? It’s difficult to get a day off to go over state lines, or find reliable transportation.

Once again poor women can apparently go duck themselves. Not that I don’t appreciate Canada’s stand of solidarity. But any women who can’t afford to travel to another state to get an abortion, they certainly can’t afford to cross an international border. You could also just go to the Max’s favourite song – Running up that hill – Kate bush Classic T-Shirt Also,I will get this nearest state that doesn’t ban abortions… Getting rid of Roe v wade isn’t banning abortion but rather leaves the decision to make it illegal up to the state level. I agree of course. Roe v wade is a core decision of a basic human liberty that our system needs. I’m just clarifying because people seem to think no roe v wade = illegal abortion. Republicans WANT the state to make decisions for them. They want their family planned by the state, want the state to dictate who they are allowed to marry, they enjoy the state book burnings to protect them from truths the state wants to hide from citizens.
