I’m 22 and live with my mom. I moved out for about a year between 19-20, but my relationship ended and I couldn’t cover rent. My mom doesn’t mind that I live with her, since I work and save money. Her mom kicked her out at 18 because she got pregnant with me, but they let her move back in with them for several stints during her 20s when we didn’t have anywhere else to go. It isn’t standard to come home from high-school graduation to a packed suitcase. It is not common, but it does happen. You grow up faster on your own. Go out on out on our own, make our own way. Chalk it up to our rugged individualism. Im from Europe too and got out at 19. Europe is pretty big. Can’t judge a whole continent on ur actions and decisions We were all ready to leave at 18. I’m not gonna be nagged to death with no freedom. There’s a whole world out there. Why be stuck in small town nowhere.
