A statewide strike would break the economy. Random people taking random days off isn’t a general strike and won’t accomplish what you’re hoping for. Political action requires organization (a leadership opponents can negotiate with), clear demands (which meeting will end the strike), and coordination. If you want actual change, join an organization. Local Democrats if you like, or something more specific (an abortion rights advocacy group for instance). to be fair most people even on the right agree with abortion rights, it’s probably just that you the people who say shit like this are too scared to actually do anything, and the ones who could possibly be brave enough want rights like these gone Well hey, Democrats. They’re SLOWLY learning to actually play the game. Gotta learn fast because the fascists are changing the rules daily. It works like that because Democrats aren’t bad faith actors. Calling conservatives out on hypocrisy and their bullshit tactics doesn’t mean anything to anyone that isn’t liberal already, and any independent that sees all the shit going on and doesn’t immediately think that Republicans are garbage isn’t really independent.
