A FAANG tech lead may laught at your bro and say they could automate almost all of his job away from him, and outsource cheaply what they couldnt…. Tell the Matchbox Twenty Angie Aparo Wednesday June 7th The Fillmore concert T-Shirt besides I will buy this dude to stop being a dick. No matter how good you are, or how much you make, or how technically awesome you are… someone out there is always above (and below). For what its worth Ive seen some serious talent get shown the door for soft skill like “issues” (they were assholes). It is not expected, not accepted that people who are “good” at their jobs are assholes. At my current job, one of my main mentors treats me like family. Borderline good friend / best friend vibes. Assholes get weeded out fast. Im pretty upset for you. Fuck him. Your doing you, have a respectable career and put up with that shit… nah. Set em straight. Nicely at first. Firmly if necessary.

Ask him how hed feel if a principal from google or apple or microsoft talked down on his role and abilities like he does to you. How would that make him feel? Would it be acceptable? Respectful? Then ask him if it would be any better for you to do it to him? Yea… I would personally rather work as a data eng. more pure math problem solving. But I mean, yea neither is superior to the Matchbox Twenty Angie Aparo Wednesday June 7th The Fillmore concert T-Shirt besides I will buy this other. Your older brother sounds insecure as others said already. Your brother has some deep insecurities. I would tell him: “You have your beliefs on what I do and I have my beliefs on what you do, but that doesn’t give you the right to belittle me. It’s insulting whether you realize/intend it or not and you need to stop if you want to continue being my brother.” I guess you can even add: “We might be Pakistani, but we work and live in the United States. You want to continue with the poor immigrant mentality, then that’s fine. I’ll enjoy getting ahead in my career with my “dumb easy job” the American way while you sweat yourself to death in a harder environment, dumbass.”
