The cards will slide into each other one after another. Easy and fast. You dont have to get uno cards wet to ruin them seriously, ours are in pretty bad condition from regular playing. They are pretty old but thats no excuse for them to not last. Get sleeves for your card, they will protect most of the regular wear and tear, provided you don’t go crazy with the shuffling. The cheapest ones only cost a couple of bucks. If they’re not all cut exactly perfectly this is just a terrible Uno deck. You’ll eventually figure out which cards are which by how they’re cut. You’ve essentially made a marked Uno deck lol. She probably just got a new laminator lol… You can’t beat the urge to do a bunch of shît with the new shît you get. We regularly have adult game nights. Not NSFW adult just we invite friends over, fire up the grill, have drinks, and play board games designed for teens+. They’re surprisingly expensive and often the cards in them are rather flimsy since they aren’t huge production runs like kids games. So you got a table of adults with beers and snacks the cards easily get damaged from condensation off the drinks and what not. One day at work I had to get a temp security badge for someone which is printed on card stock and run through a laminator. I had what I thought was a big brain moment when I realized they were roughly the same size as most the game cards. So I ordered boxes of the lamination sleeves that were already right size and borrowed the laminator for a weekend. My GF and I spent the weekend laminating all the cards. It was actually surprisingly fun to do but I’m a nerd. For playing the games they work great. You don’t have to dry your hands before touching your cards again if you take a drink of beer and no big deal if you ate some wings and got some sauce on the card. There’s two downsides though:

Shuffling is now a bit of a pain. You can’t do a riffle shuffle and end up mixing them around on the Marvin Gaye Let’s Get It On Tracklist Album T-Shirt also I will do this table like a kid. The next game night we learned that one of our friends is allergic to latex and their hands were breaking out half way through the first game and they had to put on gloves. I had to but a whole new set. Tell your friend to go to a game store and get some card sleeves. They are made for this exact purpose and are all actually the same size etc. If she wants truly waterproof she could even double sleeve.
