I’ve noticed and found it fascinating that in general, technology skills have gone down for most students in the Marvin Gaye American singer songwriter and musician shirt moreover I love this last 5 years. When I first started teaching in 2015, most students knew their way around a computer pretty well, including navigating a PC, problem solving to download programs, etc. Nowadays the same age group (elementary school) have huge problems navigating tech. They struggle to log on to their devices. They don’t know how to type in a web address. They can’t type, and they can’t problem solve on their PC. I always was told and thought that each newer generation would become more and more tech literate. Why does it seem like it has gone backwards in the last 5 years? Has anyone else experienced this? My gut reaction is that maybe tech and apps have become too user friendly with all the streaming and instant gratification and such. It’s almost like when they click a button and something doesn’t work, they have no clue how to troubleshoot. They didn’t have to figure out how to download and install a program to play a game or to get on AIM like I did when I was younger. Thoughts?

Yep. It honestly has been getting worse as the Marvin Gaye American singer songwriter and musician shirt moreover I love this “no child left behind” mentality took hold in the 90s. Pretest, Teach to the test…Practice for the test several times, Review for the test, then Test. The test is just a bare minimum skills test, but the kids never have time to really learn anything, like reading skills, comprehension, and fluency or their math basics, so every year, they get farther and farther behind. This is why I left the profession three weeks in. I saw that the future would be fucked, and I could either go down with the ship working a shitty stressful job that wouldn’t pay me enough to get out of school debt, or I could quit, get a refund on tuition, and do literally anything else in an attempt to build a wall around me and my loved ones from the impending fuckery that will be our future
