It’s annoying because both my grandmas, and my mom and dad have thick nails. It’s a gene I apparently missed out on lol. A lot of this can also just be bad genetics. Everyone on my grandparents side (my fathers parents) Has dry skin so I was born with eczema. Sometimes it’s not as complicated as having a deficiency OP you should absolutely go to a doctor. The things you’re putting on your skin are just occlusives, not moisturizers (humectants), meaning that you’re not actually hydrating your skin but putting a barrier over it, similar to plastic wrap. (Save your money and skip the fragrances by buying the balm for nursing mothers is my tip.) Okay. Sorry it went long anyway! Just wanted to add to your natural resource suggestion. Hope you don’t mind and are having a wonderful weekend! Yes coconut oil is not enough for me either. I would even say Aquaphor, it is expensive but sometimes the only thing that helps when I have severe dry spots. Maybe try an Aveeno oat bath as well.
