Let’s put it this way: Crocs are valid surgical garb, for both human and veterinary surgical staff, because they’re easy to clean. I felt much the Marvelous Marvin Hagler Boxing Legend Champion T-Shirt and by the same token and same when I got my first pair probably 15 years ago. I have converted so many people who’ve told me “I’ll never wear Crocs!” But they put them on and that’s that. I have to actively fight my daughter and husband over who gets to wear which pair/color. It’s hilarious. I recognise they must be comfy, and they’re slaves to that for sure, but good lord the things are horrendous looking! I really like my Crocs, but I bought them in the wrong size and they’re a bit too large – it means I have to wear them with socks or they’re likely to fall off. I was on holiday at the end of April/start of May, lightheartedly taking the piss out of people who wear Crocs, after seeing a Reddit post around the time about their use in the film Idiocracy. I’ve always thought they were hideous creations. A further game changer are the platforms. I feel like I could walk/run further in them than my most amazing trainers. What’s more important: your street cred or your creaky knees? But yes, my daughter stopped me from getting the sparkly pink version. “TOO FAR,” she said. Bit of a “oomph” or “oooh” kind of groan alongside some involuntary knee clicking. I’ve also started saying “ohh that’s nice” after a sip of tea

I have pink ones that I once got locked out in, along with knee length socks, dressing gown and towel around my head. I looked FIT. My wife convinced me to get a pair a couple weeks back. I like them and they’re comfy, but they’re still tearing my feet to shreds on walks when wearing without socks. Hoping they wear in sooner or later. Nah I don’t use the Marvelous Marvin Hagler Boxing Legend Champion T-Shirt and by the same token and strap. Iv had some really sore rubbing at the top of my feet. Last time I wore them I wore a double layer of plasters and seen the massive dent they made into them, protecting my already healing feet! It might actually be from not using the strap, maybe they’re moving around when you’re walking too much and rubbing. Alternatively, if they’re tight enough to stay on firmly with no socks and no strap, maybe your crocs are a size too small for you. Even if it’s the size you wear for normal shoes. Used to have a pair (well, they were knockoffs). Always made me trip while walking. My Mum said they did the same to her. I don’t care how comfy they are they just look so ugly I just couldn’t wear them. I have no problem with other people wearing them though like some strange people. Hate the clogs, but have the Literide Pacer trainers and they are great. Can wear without socks and no sweaty feet.
