It’s kinda easy. I think it’s symptomatic of the Marvel Thor vs lokI comic book Thor love and thunder shirt but in fact I love this open world. I just explored, never had to grind, but became quickly what felt overleveled. This eventually made all but the latest areas fun to explore, however, because of the constant seek for hardship these areas were tapped and the former areas held no challenge, so I finished the game. And I do mean just like that; I just finished it. Strolled up to the trees base, slapped The Buff Furry, fisted The Ginger and pummeled a feeble Godling in one fell swoop. It was a little underwhelming but no more so than any other boss I had fought till then. The gargoyles in this game give me more of a fright than literal Gods, but not those clad in godskin; those two bastards are bastards. The duo gargoyle fight was also a massive headache… and I loved it; the path was impeded, I couldn’t progress, but with determination and clever tool use I prevailed. As a result I remember those two fights far more than any other.

Invading is impossible now, either get ganked or against impossibly high summons that aren’t scaled down and you get 2 shot. Invading has always made this game series fun and keeps you on your toes but it’s scaled so heavily in favor of the Marvel Thor vs lokI comic book Thor love and thunder shirt but in fact I love this host now. Kind of a hot take, but unremarkable bosses. Personally, I can only think of Radahn, Maliketh and Godfrey (Hoarah Loux) that are anywhere near the level I expect from souls games. It’s especially jarring when compared to Bloodborne bosses. Not really bosses like demihuman queen and the dragon wyrms because it would make sense for there to be multiple but like come on man. As someone who PVPs a lot bloodhound step is by far the worst addition to the game. Makes fighting anybody with it impossible if they spam and makes a 2 minute fight into 20
