Your cat did not commit a crime and probably did a bit of public service teaching the Manhattan Beach PD Police officer chad swanson shirt Additionally,I will love this dog that small fluffies are not toys (it took my dog a while to learn this). An owner who cannot control her dog threatens to get a cat arrested for self-defence against said dog. Yes, that’ll go down well with the police, or a sharp minded bunch of solicitors. On Friday, a woman was walking a pitbull through our neighbourhood and as it approached our house, it broke free on the lead and went for our cat. Unless the pitbull happens to be on the exemption index (and considering there are a grand total of… 11 exempted dogs in Scotland, that seems unlikely), the owner has committed the offence of possession of a prohibited breed contrary to s1(7) of the Dangerous Dogs Act.

I suspect the Manhattan Beach PD Police officer chad swanson shirt Additionally,I will love this prospects of her reporting you to the police to be similar to those of a drug dealer reporting a client for making off without paying. You’ll be fine. It’s not even just that the dog was off its leash, which puts its owner liable right off the bat. It’s that it came onto your property and attacked -your- property. Let’s say you had a dog instead of a cat. And that off leash dog ran up on your property, went for your dog, and got mauled in the face. That wouldn’t be your fault. Leash or no. The fact that it’s a cat doesn’t matter. It all happened on your property, so not only did they have an out of control off leash dog that wanted to murder your pet, that dog wound up on your property and trespassed.
