Though it’s true that many Chinese tourists from rural areas are quite rude and problematic when traveling abroad, this doesn’t apply to everyone. Maybe only 5 to 10% are the bad apples but then again Vietnamese people also cause problems for their own people when traveling abroad, making problems and ignoring laws etc. Maybe someday we can have a meet. I’d recommend Nhu Lan bakery on Ham Nghi street. Despite being a bakery, they have many dishes and all are OK-to-good. Bun dau mam tom is worth trying, as a tourist, just look for a restaurant for it called “Homemade”. It is… only average, but easy to find. Be sure to enjoy lots of coffee here (especially egg coffee). As a funny anecdote, last time I was in Shanghai, coffee was still rare and expensive. It was had to find a place serving it, and it was like 50 yuan!

Fish do feel pain and do poses more intelligence than many people expect, but they are still significantly less intelligent than sapient lifeforms like us.

My friend worked as a bike assembler for Walmart and he had 0 experience assembling bikes prior to this. Now they just have a lot of them built by third party companies that pay their workers by piece work not the hour. So it’s probably even worse. If Walmart is doing this in my area i might have to apply to be a bike assembler because i actually have experience in the field and Walmart bikes are a lot of people’s introduction to cycling.
