Reading only starting going downhill once that guy got all the Luka Doncic Slovenian professional basketball player for Dallas Mavericks T-Shirt in addition I really love this green properties and park place and boardwalk. Once he got 2 red hotels it was over. No more get of jail free for that town. It’s a 4.5 km long set of concrete buildings, allegedly still one of the longest building complexes in the world. It was built as part of an effort to attract the working class to the Nazi party by providing them with the dream of a seaside holiday, and was used in propaganda to demonstrate the strength and determination of the party. Construction was halted in 1939, leaving what would have been the biggest resort in the world as an empty, unfinished shell. Last time I went there it was part ruin, part thoroughly renovated modern hotel. It’s a weird juxtaposition of what is and what was supposed to be. Edit to add – Looks like no one has mentioned the Luka Doncic Slovenian professional basketball player for Dallas Mavericks T-Shirt in addition I really love this Salton Sea yet, it’s an interesting one. I went there a couple times about 15-20 years ago, it was weird seeing what’s left from its glory days My dad went to Venezuela in the 70s when he was dating my mom (she didn’t go). 3 months later, two Venezuelan women showed up at his doorstep. His story is he gave them his address to write to. Their story is he said they could come visit any time. I don’t know what the truth is, but my mother can be a very forgiving woman… Was last in Venezuela in 2012. Jesus what an absolute waste of the most beautiful natural landscape on the planet. Cities were shitholes. All of them. But Canaima cannot be described in words. I went there last year. Interesting and pretty little town. So remote. Felt like a ghost town in a charming way – like a European version of the bathhouse and town from Spirited Away. We were on motorbike and getting up those hills and tight corners was a challenge. I imagine it is busier in winter, but early summer it was very sleepy.
