My 2nd job started even better than my 1st and also had a few extra benefits (free lunch everyday, barista coffee for a very small fee as it was company endorsed, etc.). Unfortunately, to the Love of my life who loves Brian Jones legends never die shirt and I will buy this end of my tenure there (left a few months before 5 years) the management was all over the place, salary increase was laughable (considering they had record profits), they were dragging their feet with promotions and started blocking my career growth. That became suffocating, I became overly stressed and was very unpleasant and was easier to leave than my 1st job. For me it is always a relief. I felt the same for the past 3 jobs. I am happy to be relieved from my duties and be free for a while of all the worries. A bit occupied with the anxiety and fear of the next job but overall very happy. I see this as a negative point. I have also taken a 4 months break after I left my last job. But I think I should not feel this way.

Felt really bad to leave the Love of my life who loves Brian Jones legends never die shirt and I will buy this job at such time, the team is really needing extra manpower, and my colleague and manager is really helpful in teaching me. MY first Sysadmin IT job was like that. Small business, fired because the manager didn’t like me going to college. First job away from menial retail or factory work or field work. This was 15 years ago. Looking back, the job really connected to my skillset and what I was “built to do.” It wasn’t crappy helpdesk. I was good with computers and programming, and it showed. Unfortunately, that’s how jobs go, today. 2 to 6 year stints. Unless your unlucky and get a 6 month trial and fire.
