Oh hell no!!! They need to learn how to read a damn gps. All they had too do was go straight with a turn here or there. They completely went the opposite way knowing damn well their map shows straight ahead & they still ignored it! If so they just milked prop 22 big time and made their Monday guarantee adjustment increase by about $15. If you’re not in California, ignore everything I said lol. You giving a tip is already enough the at that point Tipping culture tryna guilt trip you lol. They make a mistake. They pay for it, following a GPS really ain’t that hard. The dasher probably did another order or something, I wouldn’t feel bad they’re either double dipping or will learn to pay attention, I don’t know, but thanks for thinking of increasing the tip rather than complaining or giving a bad rating like many customers would do. I don’t know if it’s the case here, but I’ve had the app GPS crap out and send me onto the interstate with instructions to deliver an order on the side of the road before. honestly i know a lot of dashers that would’ve canceled and claimed car trouble or something. them delivering it says a lot, and personally i would’ve tipped extra. they’re likely new / had never been to that area. the gas to get to you after the reroute came out of their pocket, so I would have tipped them extra, end of the day, they are still using their own vehicle and gas. Least you could do is help break even. maybe note in your delivery instructions for drivers not to miss the turn or else they may have to travel 40+ minutes to get back.
