I had a hernia repair, just above my belly button. 3 months after surgery, I still had occasional pain and a bulge above my belly button every now and again. My surgeon was perplexed and told me to forget about abs…well, that’s not helpful considering the Love of my life Jim Reeves signature shirt also I will do this surgery was supposed to fix my issue and just saying forget about abs rubbed me the wrong way. If I have issues with my core, it can negatively affect many things down the road for me. It’s not a vanity issue, although since the rest of me is well toned, it’s annoying to occasionally appear pregnant. Not to mention the intermittent pain. It’s really long.. TLDR: My new pcp said stress was causing weight gain without testing literally anything, then decided to also tell me I didn’t have adhd and I need to stop looking things up online and ask a doctor (my obgyn sent me to her, not WebMD..) I think my psychiatrist got her fired…

I was trying to rule out any non-stress related reason I was gaining weight rapidly. I was willing to accept stress as the Love of my life Jim Reeves signature shirt also I will do this reason, but I wanted to cover all the bases. The stressors I had were huge: 3 kids, college full time, work part time, and helping to plan my brothers wedding. I was recently diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, so I was on an antidepressant but not a stimulant. I had most of these stressors for quite some time, but only started gaining weight about a year before this happened. I hadn’t changed my diet much because my husband is predisposed to diabetes, so we eat pretty healthy, but I knew I was relaxing into more comfort foods lately. I have had a dairy intolerance for a while, then got my gall bladder removed. Eating anything greasy hurts my stomach. I feel gross and tired when I eat bread. What I wanted was to test for any other food intolerances or allergies to see if my health was being impacted more by my diet than I realized.
