Edit: Going back and reading over this, I think I typed it for myself. Anywho, hope it helps someone in the Love Is Everywhere But So Is The Flu Wash Your Hands T-Shirt in contrast I will get this internetz. Gosh, so much I want to say to try and help. First of all that is a beautiful family, you should be very proud. I have two little girls (4 and 3) and it was very hard for me to connect with them in the first year. I resorted to “taking care of Mom, so she could take care of them”. My wife knew all the things (she has a 14 yr old) from her first and I felt so out of the loop and helpless. Like my job was to stand by and wait for her to tell me to do or grab something. Sure I got to hold the baby and laugh with the baby, but I didn’t really “connect”. It hit me really hard and I began taking pills for anxiety. When they started to talk was the time it really opened up for me. Something as simple as call Mommy a “stinky” and we would all giggle. Also, the tv show Bluey helped me a lot to figure what kind of Dad I wanted to be (my dad was non existent). Just today, the girls started playing “zombie” and chasing us down to eat us. I didn’t think they knew what a zombie was. THEY WERE AWESOME! (also I quit needing anxiety meds **high five**)
