You owe them nothing in the Los Angeles Rams vs Cincinnati Bengals 2023 Super Bowl LVI the Rematch shirt Also,I will get this future and you’re putting too much stock in a potentially unfriendly future reference and not having to lie on your resume. You’re future line is, “the company had unrealistic expectations that were not adjusted to the market conditions at that time.” You don’t have to tell companies you interview with that you got fired. If they ask why you’re leaving/left, you can just say that you felt you didn’t receive the training necessary to fulfill your job well and wanted to get a fresh start. They may read between the lines there but it also doesn’t really matter. In my experience many quality candidates get fired or laid off. In future interviews you never say you were fired even if they did. And for legal reasons the former employer will generally not provide any commentary. You should always say amazing things about past employer but you outgrew it or were looking for exactly what new company has.

I got fired for telling the Los Angeles Rams vs Cincinnati Bengals 2023 Super Bowl LVI the Rematch shirt Also,I will get this CEO that she was not demonstrating the company values that they made us recite every week at the all hands meeting. That’s totally a trap. Don’t fall for it. A PIP is one way to encourage people to quit instead of firing them so the employer doesn’t pay more to unemployment (Which you will most likely get if you were let go instead) If it’s an at will state and they really wanted to fire you, they would just do it. They don’t need specific cause, other than “they don’t think you are a good fit”. They don’t need you to fail the PIP, but it helps protect them legally by having a paper trail that said your performance was bad, should you ever seek to dispute the termination in court or file a labor claim or something. By the time it gets to a PiP it’s just the company covering its bases when firing you. Especially as OP pointed out the expectations are completely unrealistic to achieve. That’s a typical tactic. It’s a shitty place to be in. OP should have pointed out to HR about his trip which cannot get cancelled before he signed off on the PIP agreement. If they didn’t extend it around the same time length he will be away.
