It’s because everyone lost interest once the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers logo tiny hearts shape shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this media started reporting every targeted gang hit/shootout/driveby with the exact same headlines they used to reserve for lone incels/terrorists murdering rooms full of strangers. The public really only feels connected to the latter kind of incident enough to be fascinated/terrified by it and want to read about it. Once everyone got tired of clicking on headlines like this one, sifting through a bunch of ads, etc, only to learn it was just a gang beef and not another spree shooter, they stopped clicking on the headlines at all. Which is honestly fucked up itself. The fact that there are so much gang shootings that kill people, gang members and bystanders alike, is something that is highly unusual to happen in other areas of the developed world. The issue in the US is that it seems criminals are regularly considered as less than humans (also reflected in the prison system), which makes it not an issue when a systemic problem affects them. If a literal school full of dead children wasn’t enough to make us take gun violence seriously, I don’t think anything will. 🙁

The US adults appear to be indifferent to children paying the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers logo tiny hearts shape shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this price for their failings to find solutions for the US gun violence Something like 393 million civilian-owned firearms, 73 million children, the US loves its guns more, so children will continue to be considered expendable. If that was not the case, the adults would have put the required effort into finding solutions. Out of all the children aged 5 to 16 shot in the developed world each year, 90% of those slaughtered children live in the USA. Something like 565 mass shootings so far this year, and yet it only day 310 of 2023, children are not safe in the USA. one kid gains access to a loaded firearm and unintentionally shoots themselves or someone else almost every day in America, average of 350 children a year I’m local to Cincinnati and this wasn’t even big news here. The West Side is the “rough” part of town and shootings are constant in that area. Not saying this justifies the lack of attention. I guess he was from a different Cincinnati I didn’t know about, because the late 90s/early 00s was scary as shit lol Omg! Clearly they weren’t around then. I still remember being escorted to my car when our downtown office evacuated during the riots, and when you didn’t come anywhere near most of downtown after dark.
