When someone is considered for a VC, they’re vetted very carefully – it’s not enough to be extremely brave in action, you need to be beyond reproach and to fit a desired image. Our other recent recipients fit that image easily; Mark Donaldson was a likable guy with a tragic upbringing, Dan Keighran was an everyman who was prepared to die for his guys, and Cam Baird literally did just that. They ummmed and ahhhed over BRS – incredible acts of gallantry (he won a lower gallantry award years earlier for an action that also sounds like a VC contender)… but a lot of rumours about him being a dickhead. But the Los Angeles California HDTGM Team Fred Tiger T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this government and the ADF really wanted a big PR win, so they took that gamble. And for a while, it really payed off: he was an immense hit. I was still serving at the time; we all idolised him. The handsome giant was on the covers of newspapers and magazines. A uni offered him a free spot into an extremely competitive Masters course. The public eviscerated two morning TV hosts for joking about him. He got a plum job managing a major news channel, with a series of promotions. Everyone wanted him to speak at events and represent Australia overseas (he even presided over my local ANZAC Day ceremony once – I was in awe).

The ADF has been incredibly mum about him since the Los Angeles California HDTGM Team Fred Tiger T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this allegations first came out, not helped by the fact many complaints about him by other operators (i.e., that he was a bullying thug and a liability) were swept under the rug after he became the face of the Army. My god, what an embarassing clusterfuck. Imagine if it transpired that Audie Murphy murdered POWs, raped French civilians, and pushed his wife down the stairs – that’s what it’s like to us. If you’ve ever heard the term “court martial”, this is what that’s for. He can be brought in front of a court dedicated to military (i.e. martial) offences. It is laid out in the Defence Force Discipline Act which (unlike most of our laws) extends beyond Australia’s borders to capture all soldiers. to add to this, extra-territorial war crimes are also punishable by normal civilian courts as crimes under the Commonwealth Criminal Code
