Why would I want to bring another human into this world when we as a human race can’t even look after the logo vert white Classic T-Shirt But I will love this planet we live in? Honestly, I think the question should be “what makes you WANT kids?” We have been lacking the procreation instinct for generations. At this point it is almost pure social convention. Just turn 40 and having no kids is the best decision I keep making every day. I couldn’t stand kids for more than a couple of hours and the worst news is that they stop being kids and turn into teenagers! Fuck that. Climate change, my mother in law, the unequal distribution of labor that inevitably plagues heterosexual coparenting relationship, day care prices, the crushing expectations and judgement mothers face, my love for daytime naps in my clean home and silence, the impending collapse of civil rights and our democracy, my suspicion that children born today will grow up in a worse world than their parents….take your pick.
