I can actually attest to this. For the Literally Me print, Literally Me Meme, Gosling, Shelby, Patrick Bateman Poster shirt moreover I love this first time in my life, the person interviewing me actually called me a week after the interview and said “Hi Your_Daddy, we all really liked you but we agreed since we’re releasing the first version in the fall we’d need someone with a little more experience to hit the ground running, I do hope our paths cross again in the future” It’s like I’m pissed? But like they called me personally to tell me at least? Mixed emotions, most of them some form of anger Total BS! I’ve been unemployed for 2 months, and the market is abysmal. Only 10-20% of the jobs I see in my field in my area are legit (not scams) and pay a decent wage. There are absolutely millions of jobs out there. But the jobs report is outdated bs as 95% or more of them would be irrelevant to whoever is reading this or searching.

Sure there’s a set amount of people that could jump from McDs to Denny’s to Target or something. But for most people, even people in those categories, most of the Literally Me print, Literally Me Meme, Gosling, Shelby, Patrick Bateman Poster shirt moreover I love this jobs just don’t apply to you. I’m in engineering, years of experience, but I sure am not going to get a civil engineering job, or a comp sci job, or a programming job, etc. People in healthcare aren’t likely to be able to jump to dentistry or paralegal or power plant support. It’s just idiotic because so much of those things don’t apply to most people. Even if you work at Lockheed and want to jump to Boeing or similar, there’s probably at best a dozen ish jobs every few months that would apply to YOU. Sometimes it’s just about the keywords that fit YOU, then you can do that search that expands to a few dozen more jobs per month. But there’s doubtfully thousands for you – or almost anyone.
