Your at the Liliuhms Shop Merch A Fine Day For Ice Cream Shirt But I will love this job to get paid… Not to be upper managements personal favorite pet. Just keep that in mind when you feel competitive anger start to rise. Uhhh I hate office politics. There’s always that one person putting in extra effort to delegate their work tasks and get everyone involved and its obvious what they are doing… They want to make other people do all the work while they become friends with management – then they become managers too. I hate most of the replies blaming you. Office politics and playing favorites with management is definitely a thing. It sucks. No matter how well you work, the managers favorites will always get the interesting and impressive projects. Then those projects will be used for future career advantages. Its complete BS. I have to warn you though: Getting bitter and resentful with management for choosing other people is a one way path to quitting though.. So always remember the actual real goal: getting paid and cashflow into your bank account.

In this case, as op describes, her coworker is a favorite because she has great project management skills. As described by op. Call it office politics but it looks like the Liliuhms Shop Merch A Fine Day For Ice Cream Shirt But I will love this coworker is rewarded for her demonstrative skills in communication, mentorship, organization, etc. no doubt office politics happen, but it’s not really what op described at all. Read again… OP describes coworker being constantly late and requiring everyone’s help to complete a task. Yet still gets favoritism from managers due to being friends with them. It’s usually not the “favorites” fault that they are getting the projects. I do not suck up to my bosses but at every job they like me, even when I keep it 100% professional and work related. That’s not my fault, but my coworkers see it as me kissing ass and then harass and bully me nonstop because they can’t handle not being liked the most. It’s not my fault you all have no social skills and can’t communicate what you want. It’s innate to some people. I also started working very young and worked retail/customer service for almost 10 years before entering the professional workforce so 1)I learned having a good relationship with your bosses and coworkers is more productive for the company, while my coworkers who are in their 30s and 40s cry about being intimidated by our boss or upper management. I’m also not worried about finding other work, therefore I will behave the way I want 2)”bosses” are just dumb invisible hierarchy to begin with. We are adults. No one is truly in charge or above anyone. My coworkers can barely communicate a problem with their projects or any questions they have, or even reach out for clarification on something and that’s somehow everyone else’s problem to coddle them and check up on how they’re doing.
