My dude, EDM is a subcategory with genres that are so fuckin wide they eclipse the Lil Yachty 2023 Concert Tour The Fillmore Detroit Nov 5 shirt but in fact I love this entire brenths of other genres combined. Only EDM I ever listened too was on TikTok so I probably don know much else except random word plus beat drop with electrical noises Just because you don’t know anything about something doesn’t mean it’s bad. EDM is literally the widest category of music there is, there’s absolutely something for everyone. Tbf I would be thinking that because edm is my least favorite genre but I would never be so rude to say that out loud. Music is incredibly subjective, just like learning a language you start to understand with time, new genres never experienced before for someone will not always be a banger until they learn to understand it. This is a stupid take. Even with time, if a music genre is not for you, it’s just not for you. I just can’t get into this type of music, I need to hear real instruments. Now, I don’t know if you listen to metal, but based on your comment, I could tell you to go listen to Cannibal Corpse and after some time you’d like it? I love Cannibal Corpse but I know it’s not for everyone and I respect that, it’s pretty arrogant to say that you need to “understand” a song first to enjoy it. If you really don’t like a song, listening to it more won’t make you like it The reality is it’s a shared space and it’s perfectly reasonable to find a type of music you both enjoy. Imagine your a post saying.

If the Lil Yachty 2023 Concert Tour The Fillmore Detroit Nov 5 shirt but in fact I love this worker said “wtf is this shit” immediately they were being a prick, and certainly not taking a pluralistic approach to musical taste. Forcing someone to listen to your music all day without negotiation is a dick move. Refusing to listen to even a bit of someone else’s music before saying “wtf is this shit” and forcing a change is also a dick move. Agreed. Co-worker was a dick for sure with that attitude. He’s not here or I’d be calling his ass out for that kind of comment. I feel for OP tho getting your fav music shit on sucks. I try to remember that anytime I hear music I can’t stand. Important to know that everyone’s taste in music is important to them since music is very personal If they knew that OP had specifically picked out a playlist of his favourite music then yeah, but it’s a lot more likely that they just assumed it was a random song playing on the radio.
