A large # of the Librarian by day gamer by night video gaming vintage T-Shirt in contrast I will get this homeless are too mentally ill to function in society and their family are either assholes or dead Just go to prison at this point. You get 3 meals a day, a warm bed. And most people aren’t going to fuck around with the homeless like that. Probably treated better inside a penitentiary than you are on the streets being homeless in the United States. This is how the system just creates career criminals out of nothing. Instead of trying to fix the actual problem. Edit: answered my own question. The only thing that scares my white ass more then being homeless, is being in prison. If you think they (the rather conservative government of Tennessee) give a crap about that, you are sorely mistaken. It is all about getting the for-profit prisons filled up. What happens if I choose not to participate in society anymore? I throw in my job, sell my house, donate all the money to charity and walk out into the street? Where am I “allowed” to sleep? Where can I set up a camp and live off the land? Eventually a care worker will be along to try and find me some housing etc, but what if I refuse? Fine me for sleeping in a public place – i dont have any money. It seems there is no option, other than conform to societal norms. The above situation would ultimately land me in jail for unpaid fines.

If we’re going to treat human beings like vermin, it’d be more intellectually honest (and cost-effective) to just murder them. People love to complain about their taxes paying for useless things. Wait until they learn how prisons are funded that are filled with “criminals” who don’t need to be there They are doing the Librarian by day gamer by night video gaming vintage T-Shirt in contrast I will get this same in my city (not from the US), police is now going around fining people for begging in the streets and for sleeping in the streets!!!! How the heck are they going to send the find through mail? Most of them probably don’t even have ID and they don’t have a house, how are you going to track them? I say put them in a Thunderdome situation, all homeless enters, one homeless leaves. At least It’d be entertaining instead of sad. So rather than have them living for free on public land, let’s spend $100k a year each to imprison them in public prisons… that makes sense how? Reminds me of a short story by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. where they “solved” the housing shortage by attaching balloons to people without homes so that they could float around and not touch anyone’s property. How can a govt (looking at you especially, congress) create every condition for its most vulnerable populations to be homeless, offer them no assistance, and then give them a felony charge for it? Wtf is wrong with this country?! And I promise you, the same ones making these laws are probably the same ones to go to church every Sunday learning to “love thy neighbor”.
