If I’m going 2-3 miles above the Let’s Go So To Baseball Shirt also I will do this relative speed of traffic, I’m usually going up to 15 over. 15 over is the max I will ever do. I adjust based on how quickly people approach from behind on average until I’ve established a rhythm to where I no longer need to adjust my cruise control. You don’t need to go over 15mph above the speed limit, and yes that is for me to decide unless you want to pass from the right, which you shouldn’t. On the contrary, in most of the 50 states (all but a few) it is illegal to go over the speed limit even to pass. So if people are going the speed limit in the left lane and passing people on the right, they are in the right. If you are going above the speed limit in the left lane, which you would be if you’re complaining about people in the left lane going “slow” you are in the wrong and breaking the law.

Does this apply to major highways in metroplexes?? I totally agree it should apply for rural highways that connect cities…but… I have an extremely difficult time imagining a cop accepting the Let’s Go So To Baseball Shirt also I will do this “BUT I WAS SPEEDING IN THE FAST LANE” excuse when speeding in a major metroplex on the highway. There is no fast lane. The limit is the limit regardless of feelings. It’s for that reason that I miss my 1st car, a ‘76 Grand Prix. If you were going slow in the left lane & saw me coming from behind you in a car that was built like a Sherman tank, you got the hell outta my way! Well I do use it to pass and when I’m doing 65 in a 45 and there’s a Dodge Ram up my ass like I’m not. The left lane is used for passing yes but I think most people think that it allows them to do 70 in a 45 For me, if I do it, it’s because I’ve gotten enough tickets to not want to speed, and I’m gonna be turning left further down the road anyway, so I may as well stay here.
