Tbh I hate any unethical meat eating. I’m vegetarian myself, totally chill with people who eat meat but I HATE the Let’s eat trash and get hit by a car mouse vintage T-Shirt also I will do this meat industry and how horrible it is globally to every species. I cannot stand how places won’t allow the animals a comfortable and healthy life and humane death, it’s so morally unacceptable to me. I also hate people who hunt for sport, because if you’re gonna use the animal for food and other things that one thing, but rly? Just killing for fun? That’s absolutely psychopathic if you want to end somethings life just for the thrill of it, if you like shooting then do regular target practice. I can’t stand it. I think it’s horrific. Luckily I’m not a huge fan of the flavor/texture of those particular creatures anyway.

I rarely if ever eat lobster and crab for that reason. Also because I relate to them more than anything so I can’t be eating my homies, it’s basically cannibalism. I didn’t eat them even before I became vegetarian because of that. I wouldn’t eat lamb or veal, either, because they’re babies. Personally I’d rather just buy a frozen lobster than kill a live one myself, but in the situation where a live lobster is being cooked the average person doesn’t know how to use a knife to instant kill it like chefs often do. When you consider things like crawfish it’s even more out of necessity because good luck humanely and efficiently killing each and every crawfish before boiling. Ultimately, the sort of person who boils lobsters probably shouldn’t be killing their own food to begin with, but that’s just how the lobster market has evolved to be and its often the only way to ensure your lobster is as fresh as possible before cooking.
