In Australia, the Let The Shenanigans Begin Mardi Gras T-Shirt In addition,I will do this Sikh community does more fundraising and help for victims of bushfires and floods than anybody else (including Red Cross, Salvation Army, any Christian association, etc). They also literally work around the clock preparing food for the homeless. Nobody else does anything like that! I’m involved with emergency services here and honestly the Sikh community is quite often a saving grace, especially with big long running operations like bushfires I knew a guy in college who was getting his life together after being homeless for more than a decade. One time he told me that he knew where every Sikh temple on the west coast was, because they were the only ones who would always offer help without asking anything — even an opportunity to try to convert you — in return. He had some pretty crazy stories about being a homeless teenage addict who was being attacked by a crazy person only to have a dozen Sikhs pour out of a nearby temple to fight the guy off. Then they took my friend back to the temple, fed him, gave him a change of clothes, etc. He was used to the way most churches operate and was expecting the “repent for your ways” speech, but it never came. They just talked to him about his life and what he wanted to do when he grew up and told him to stop by again if he needed anything. It obviously made an impression on him because almost 15 years later he still talked about it.

When I worked security at a big distribution center I dealt with quite a few Sikh drivers. I was honestly relieved to see them, I’d say 98% of them were the Let The Shenanigans Begin Mardi Gras T-Shirt In addition,I will do this chillest guys and easy to deal with. No moaning that about letting me take down their info, no complaints about the slot they were assigned, and above all PATIENT and reasonable. Can confirm! The Sikh guy who drives the delivery truck is the nicest and friendliest guy we have do drop offs. It’s taken extremely seriously, and the short knife they carry is a symbolic reminder of that obligation. It’s not there to defend them it’s there to defend you. I was literally starving in uni money was so tight, ran into a group of Sikhs handing out meals and gladly accepted one. The guy noticed that I was looking unwell and started asking me about if I was eating enough and doing okay. Not only did he load me up with food for the week, but I gave me resources that showed where they were handing out food every day. They fed me 3-4 times a week for nearly an entire year before I could get a summer job and fix my situation. Literally the utmost of respect for Sikh people, my own Catholic Church only does acts like that if they think they can benefit and convert you
